HIMSS NCA is the only federally focused chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are formally known as the National Capital Area (NCA) chapter. Our chapter currently consists of over 1,000 members who are passionate about health information management and the technologies that drive health information technology innovation. The National Capital Area Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS NCA) has a diverse membership spread throughout Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and nationwide. Our members represent hospitals, managed care organizations, vendors, integrated delivery systems, academia, non-profit healthcare organizations, as well as government agencies such as the Military Health System, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Health & Human Services, and other federal agencies with a healthcare focus.
Update on HIMS 21 - Global Health Conference & Exhibition
As we all continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of the HIMSS community, employees and local residents remain our top priority. That’s why HIMSS21 is moving to August 9–13, 2021 in Las Vegas.
HIMSS20 paid registrations will be transferred to HIMSS21, and all registrants will receive further details and instructions regarding the registration process later this summer. See the HIMSS Registration FAQs for more information.
Registration and hotel reservations will open in fall 2020. The Call for Reviewers will open September 14, and the Call for Proposals will open October 5.
